How to Create a Service Order on Desktop

Step 1: Log into the ARMORdata Dashboard

  • Open your web browser and go to ARMORdata.com
  • Enter your username and password
  • Click Log In
  • Once logged in, you will be on the ARMORdata dashboard
  • If you have trouble logging in, use the Forgot Password option or contact your system administrator

Step 2: Navigate to the Asset Needing a Service Order

  • On the left panel, click the icon that looks like a microchip labeled Assets
  • You should now be able to see all your assets
  • In the Search Bar, you can type in:
    • Manufacturer
    • Model
    • Serial number
    • Asset location (store number, warehouse name, street address of the site)
    • IMEI
  • This will help narrow down the asset you are looking for

Step 3: Order Service

  • On the asset summary card, click the icon that looks like a wrench
  • This opens the Create Service Order screen with asset information
  • In the box labeled Service Description, enter detailed information about the issue
  • In the Additional Notes field, include any helpful details for the technician, such as:
    • Who to check in with on site
    • Access requirements for the machine
    • The current location of the asset
  • If you have an image of the parts needed, you can upload it to the order
  • If you have a link for an attachment, you can add it under the images section
  • Once everything is complete:
    • Click Submit Order, or
    • Click Submit for Approval (if required by your organization)
