Installation Steps


Locating Power Source:

Device Installation:

  • Please note that the ARMOR 3 device is not waterproof. However, it has been successfully installed in various vehicles without issues, including exposure to car washes.
  • Before proceeding with the installation, take a photo of the ARMOR 3 device alongside the VIN sticker located inside the driver’s door. This will be important for device registration.
  • Follow the instructions provided with your kit to connect the ARMOR 3 device to the 12-volt power source and ground using the 2-wire harness.

Testing Connectivity and Utilization:

  • After installation, verify the device's connectivity and utilization by visiting https://check.armordata.io/home.
  • Look for three checkmarks on the website, indicating:
    • Cellular connectivity.
    • Data reported in the last 4 hours.
    • Utilization reported in the last 4 hours.

Register the Device:

  • Use the previously taken photo of the ARMOR 3 device and the vehicle's VIN sticker for registration.
  • Email this photo to [email protected] to complete the registration process.
