HOWTO - Locating your assets

Modified on Fri, 22 Mar at 3:05 PM

There are three main methods in the ARMOR Asset Management platform to assist in locating your equipment.

Method 1 - Visual search in Asset List

Visual review in the Asset List, for smaller fleets, displays many details and is a useful resource for rapidly finding the asset you are looking for.

(Fields displayed: Device Image, Site Name, City, State, Serial, Nickname, Mfg, Model, Customer, Run/Charge Time, Alerts and Last Seen date and time.)

Method 2 - Quick Search

By using the "Search Here" section you can search by typing in any words that may help you filter your list.

For example: typing "Springfield" will return all assets that have any field that contains the word "Springfield".

NOTE: Quick Search returns assets that have ANY attribute with the searched value.

Method 3 - Query Builder

Query Builder is our most advanced search functionality, allowing multiple definable filters, selection lists, and important tag buttons.

In Query Builder you can search for assets by combining multiple attributes into a single filter.

Example: If you want to know how many assets are from a specific manufacturer in a given city, you can choose the manufacturer, and the city to return the filtered results.

From your existing query you can further filter by adding additional parameters as needed.

NOTE: Use the "Clear" button at the top right to start a new query filter
